Ole women win at Mt. LaCorsse

MT. LACROSSE, Wisc. - The St. Olaf women's alpine ski team once again finished first at the USCSA Midwest Conference event this weekend, taking four of the top five spots in the giant slalom and three of the top five spots in the slalom.

Katie Ulvestad continued her impressive season with a win in the giant slalom posting a time of 58:72. Also placing in the top five for the Oles were Nathalie Kenny (2nd), Miranda Ness (3rd), and Laura Post (5th). St. Olaf led the field with a team score of seven in the event, with second place UMD finishing with 34.

Ulvestad was also victorious in the slalom with a time of 1:00.70, nearly a full second ahead of the second place finisher. Also placing in the top ten for St. Olaf were Madison McLachlan (4th), Nathalie Kenny (5th), Lisa Koetke (7th), and Miranda Ness (9th). Again, St. Olaf won the slalom event with a team score of eight, with second place UMD finishing with 32.

The Oles compete next weekend at the Spirit Atmore Mid-Am FIS Race in Duluth, Wisc.
