NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Jeff Harris scored twice as St. Olaf completed a two-game MIAC men's hockey sweep of St. Thomas with a 3-2 win on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
Dan Cecka added a goal and two assists while Henrik Wood had 24 saves as the Oles (9-8-2, 8-2-0 MIAC) moved into first place in the league with three weekends to play.
Harris notched a power-play goal at 14:07 of the first period as he and Cecka broke free and completed a 2-on-1 attack to make it 1-0. Two minutes later, Cecka made it 2-0 on assists from Kevin Harris and Geoff Gieni.
Jeff Harris then scored 14 seconds into the second period on feeds from brother Kevin and Cecka to make it 3-0 Oles.
Steve Sorensen scored each of the Tommies' goals, both on the power play. His second came with 7:45 left as he sneaked it past the right leg of Wood.
St. Olaf plays Augsburg next weekend while St. Thomas plays Bethel.
