Ole wrestlers fall to ranked Augsburg

MINNEAPOLIS - The St. Olaf wrestling team (2-5) dropped a dual meet to No. 7 Augsburg College 31-16 at the Minnesota Duals on Saturday evening at Si Melby Hall.

Wesley Azariah had the Oles off to a positive start with a decision win at 125. The Auggies recovered to win the next two decisions to take a 11-3 lead. Carl Elmer won a decision at 149, followed by Jacob Bohler with a pin at 157 to give the Oles a 12-11 lead in the match. The Auggies won four of the final five decisions to secure the victory. James Roach won a major decision at 174 to briefly give the Oles a 16-15 lead.

The Oles' next competition is scheduled for February 2 in the North Country Open in Collegeville, Minn.
