Stumpf scores twice as Oles beat Blazers

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Nicole Stumpf scored twice, including the game-winner with 11:32 left in the third period, as St. Olaf topped Saint Benedict on Friday night at Dave Torrey Arena.

St. Olaf (10-8-2, 6-6-1 MIAC) fell behind twice, at 1-0 and 2-1, before goals by Stumpf and Margot Fleming tied the game. Fleming's second period tally knotted the game at 2-2 while Stumpf's first goal made it 1-1 midway through the first.

Sam Ubl made 39 saves in net to get the win for the Oles.

The teams meet in Northfield tomorrow at 2 p.m.
