Women's hockey finishes sweep of Saint Benedict

NORTHFIELD, Minn.- Tara Reyelts scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period as the St. Olaf women's hockey team sealed a weekend sweep of Saint Benedict with a 3-1 win on Saturday afternoon at Northfield Arena.

Reyelts' goal came at the 10:31 mark on an Ole power play. The goal was assisted by Alana Patrick and Nicole Stumpf.

Margot Fleming capped the win with an empty-net goal with 12 seconds to play for St. Olaf (11-8-2, 7-6-1 MIAC). Shea Noerenberg had the first Ole goal just more than two minutes after Alli O'Brien had given Saint Benedict (5-9-4, 3-9-2 MIAC) the lead. Noerenberg's power-play goal was also assisted by Patrick.

Jenna Traut made 37 saves in a losing effort for the Blazers. Ali McKeever saved 24 shots for St. Olaf.

The Oles host Gustavus on Friday night.
