AFTON, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's alpine ski team won the USCSA Divisional Championships this past weekend, with Katie Ulvestad winning easily in both the slalom and giant slalom competitions.

In a weekend that contained sleet, snow, and high winds, the Oles skied through the weather and took home first place honors. During the first day's slalom competition, St. Olaf had four of the top seven finishers. Ulvestad won the event by almost a full second, while Maddey McLachlan took second, Nathalie Kenny placed fifth, and McKenna McNabb finished in seventh.

In Sunday's giant slalom St. Olaf put on a clinic, taking six of the top seven spots. Ulvestad once again took first in the event. The other Ole placers were Kenny (2nd), McLachlan (4th), McNabb (5th), Laura Post (6th), and Lisa Koetke (7th).

As a team, St. Olaf had a total score of 15, beating second place NMU by a whopping 52 points.

St. Olaf will compete next weekend at the Marquette Mountain Regional USCSA Race on February 16.
