St. Olaf women third after first day of MIAC's

MINNEAPOLIS - Meghan Weiss won the 500 Free as the St. Olaf women's swimming and diving team stood in third place after the first of three days of the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.
Weiss won the event by almost eight seconds, in front of teammate and runner up Maddie Lee.
The Oles' Lydia Feldman finished second in the 200 IM with a NCAA B cut time of 2:08.12.
Carolyn Bernhardt had the Oles' other top-five finish as she was fifth in the 50 Free.
Bernhardt, Lindsey Lee, Feldman and Weiss swam to a hard-fought third place finish in the 400 IM with a NCAA B cut 3:52.66, a time that qualified to the NCAA's in 2012.
