St. Olaf women are second at MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Emily Stets won the 600 meter dash in 1:36.09 to pace the St. Olaf women in their second place finish at the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at the Tostrud Center.
Stets ran in the second heat of the timed event and won with a 1:36.09.
St. Olaf solidified the second place team finish by holding on to third place in the event finale, the 4x400 relay. The relay team of Stets, Shaina Rud, Moriah Novacinski and Dani Larson finished the race in 4:02.32, two spots ahead of Saint Ben's.
Novacinski was third in the 1,000 in a personal best 2:56.72. UST's Taylor Berg won the event in a meet and Tostrud Center record 2:52.37. Abby Engelhart added a sixth place run in the event in 3:00.88.
Larson and Elise Raney finished third and fourth in the high jump, collecting a combined 11 points. Each cleared 1.60 meters.
Meggie Exner finished sixth in the 3,000.
The Oles' second place finish is the best mark at the MIAC Indoor Championships since 1997.
