St. Olaf men's nordic ski team finishes second USCSA Championships

SUN VALLEY, Idaho - Joel Bransky won the 15k freestyle as one of three Oles in the top six to lead the St. Olaf men's nordic ski team finished second the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Championships on Saturday.

Bransky won the event with a time of 42:41. Teammates Cole Hendrickson was fourth (42:48) and Nels Thompson sixth (42:52).

As a team, St. Olaf was first in the 15k and third in the 1.5k and 8.5k. The club team from the University of Wyoming won two of the three events to hold off the Oles for the team title.

Bransky was sixth in the 1.5k sprint on Tuesday and Nels Thompson 12th in the event.

Cole Hendrickson led the Oles in the 8.5k, finishing sixth in 25:01. Bransky was 15th and Thompson 16th.
