LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - St. Olaf forward Jeff Harris was named to the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) CCM All-America second team on Thursday, the group announced.

The honor is the second in as many seasons for a St. Olaf player, as Derek Grogan was a first team selection last winter.

Harris, the MIAC's Co-MVP, led the league in goals and added eight assists. In MIAC play, he had 12 goals, also a league-high, and six assists. His 18 points and five power play goals also led the league.

He had team-bests in power play goals (5) and game-winners (3). He was named the MIAC's player of the week after helping St. Olaf to its first sweep of St. Thomas on record. The player of the week honor was in the midst of a furious five-game stretch when he had eight goals and an assist, leading the Oles to five straight wins.

The MIAC player of the year honor was the first for a St. Olaf player since Dylan Mueller was the league MVP in 2008-09.

Of the 30 All-Americans, 18 are from the United States, 11 are from Canada, and one is from Sweden. The two leading sources are Ontario (6) and Massachusetts (5).
