All-America performance highlights night for Ole men

HOUSTON - The St. Olaf men's swimming and diving team had an All-America performance in the 400 Medley Relay to highlight Thursday night's session at the NCAA Division III Championships.

The Oles' 400 Medley Relay team broke the school record and earned All-America status with its fifth place finish in 3:16.87. Michael Gratz, Colby Kubat, Billy Brebrick and Tanner Roe combined to get within 1.48 seconds of team champion Kenyon and narrowly top the 2009 St. Olaf team's (Meyer, Westby, Witzel, Koch) previous record of 3:17.71.

St. Olaf is 12th through the second of four days at the championships.

The team had a a pair of swims in prelims earlier in the day. Brebrick was 25th in the 100 Fly and the team's 200 Free Relay team was 19th.
