Lee sets women's 10K record at Winona Invitational

WINONA, Minn. - Emma Lee set a new St. Olaf women's 10000 meter record on Saturday as the Oles' Track & Field team competed at the Winona State Warrior Invitational in Winona.

Lee's winning time of 35:47.24 broke her own record in the event set in the 2012 season.

Rebecca Bevans (36:27.12) and Sophie Pietrick (37:19.99) finished second and third, respectively, while also besting Wrolstad's former record to round out St. Olaf's new top-three all-time finishers in the 10K.

Moriah Novacinski took first in the 800 meter run (2:20.83) in addition to finishing second in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:50.29.

Abby Engelhart placed second behind Novacinski in the 800, clocking a 2:21.75.

The 4x100 meter relay team finished second with a 53.20.

In the heptathlon, Dani Larson finished second, placing third on the St. Olaf all-time list with a total of 3999 points.

Third place finishers for the Oles include Emma Larson in the 5000 meter run (19:17.71), Elise Raney in the high jump (1.53 meters), and Emma Fulton in the pole vault (2.90 meters).

Meggie Exner took fourth in the 1500 with a time of 4:55.20, while Megan Holmes finished fifth in the 800 (2.25.88).
