Ole men face off against Carleton at Rolex Classic

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's track and field team squared off against crosstown rival Carleton in the 2013 Rolex Classic on Tuesday, winning 15 of the 17 events.

The Oles swept the sprints with wins by Cameron Smith in the 100 meter dash (11.14), Donny Harder in the 200 (22.73), and Aaron Stets in the 400 (50.49).

Stefan Lemke won the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:03.48.

In the 5k, Paul Escher's time of 15:40.59 took first place.

Aaron Dunphy and Anton Hesse took the hurdles for the Oles, with Dunphy winning the 110 hurdles in 16.04 and Hesse winning the 400 hurdles in 59.66.

Alex Phearman won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:19.59.

Both the 4x100 (42.55) and 4x400 (3:23.56) meter relays went to St. Olaf's 'A' teams.

JB Tut won the high jump with a jump of 1.95 meters, while Aaron Shinn took first in the pole vault with a heigh of 4.00 meters.

In the throwing events, Ethan Lunning won the shot put, discus, and hammer throws with distances of 13.76, 46.29, and 48.88 meters, respectively.
