Lehn, Lunning, Wood top Ole finishers at Meet of Saints

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Calvin Lehn finished second in the 1500 meter run, Ethan Lunning took second in the discus, and Adam wood took second in the 5k as the St. Olaf Men's Track & Field team competed at the Meet of Saints at Saint John's University in Collegeville on Sunday.

Lehn, who finished the 1500 in 4:02.33, was followed by two more Oles in third and fourth place finishers Tim Lillehaugen (4:02.62) and Michael Roth (4:05.11).

Lunning's discus throw of 43.97 meters earned him second place, while his 44.91 meter hammer throw and 13.87 meter shot put were good for fourth and fifth places in their respective events.

Wood finished the 5k in 16:22.16.

In the 4x100 meter relay, St. Olaf took third with a time of 43.67.

Other top finishers for the Oles were James McFarlin in the 400 meter dash (fourth, 50:43), Tommy Dolan in the pole vault (fourth, 3.78), Daniel Bakken (fourth, 10:23.26) and Alex Phearman (fifth, 10:23.92) in the 3000 meter steeplechase, Derek Heussner in the 110 meter hurdles (fifth, 17.19), and Scott Woodside in the javelin (fifth, 39.66 meters).
