Ole men are fourth as Saksa, Wintheiser win on second day of MIAC's

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Brian Saksa won the 1500 meter run and Grant Wintheiser won the 5k to lead St. Olaf to fourth place at the MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of St. Thomas on Saturday.

Saksa crossed the finish line in 4:09.39. Stefan Lemke took third with a time of 4:11.07, while Paul Escher finished fifth (4:12.03).

Wintheiser won the 5k in 14:54.52, while John Christian took third with a time of 15:05.43.

The 4x100 meter relay team took second place with a time of 42.94 seconds, while the 4x400 meter relay team finished third in 3:21.19

Reggie Woods took fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.06 seconds.

In the 400 meter dash, James McFarlin took fourth in 49.56.

Brian Tomlinson crossed the finish line in 2:02.12 to take fourth in the 800 meter run.

The Oles finished with 71.5 points, good for a sixth place finish.
