DESTIN, Fla. - Molly Erickson fired a final round 79 to finish in a 22nd place tie, as she led St. Olaf to a 15th place team finish at the NCAA Division III Championships, which wrapped up on Friday afternoon.

Erickson, who had her second-best round on Friday in the four-day event, started on the back and finished one-over-par over her final nine holes. She made two birdies on the final day.

She had her best round on Tuesday, when she carded a two-over par 74. The two-time MIAC MVP was named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America second team on Wednesday for the second time in as many years.

The Oles' Molly Knutson was the team's next-best finisher. Knutson, who like Erickson was an all-region selection, was 62nd overall and St. Olaf sophomore Maxine Carlson was 68th.

St. Olaf was making its second appearance in the NCAA's, after reaching the event for the first time last spring. The Oles have won each of the last two MIAC Championships.

Maxine Carlson, Linde Sundell and Nadia Baka were the Oles' other competing members at the tournament. Carlson and Sundell each had their best rounds on Thursday with 82's.
