Connelly named women's golf coach

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Katie Connelly, who spent the last two seasons at Edgewood College, was named head women's golf coach at St. Olaf on Tuesday morning.
Connelly was the women's head coach at Edgewood in 2012-13 after one season as an assistant in the Eagles' program. Connelly helped Edgewood to a Northern Athletics Conference title as an assistant in 2011-12.
Connelly played her collegiate golf at Wisconsin. In 2003 she was the NCAA Central Region medalist, helping the Badgers to their first NCAA Championships appearance. She was All-Big Ten in her final season and was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
From 2004-07, she played four professional seasons on the Duarmed Futures Golf Tour and was an LPGA Qualifying School finalist.
Connelly takes over a St. Olaf program that has won each of the last two MIAC championships, its first in school history.
