Oles win twice more to reach 4-0

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf topped Martin Luther College 3-1 before outlasting Waldorf College 3-2 on Saturday afternoon to finish the St. Olaf Invitational 4-0.

Maggie Prunty had 17 kills while Kelly Heissel and Molly Nelson had 11 each as the Oles beat the Knights 25-14, 25-19, 17-25 and 25-18. Kersten Bork had 44 set assists and Abby Slack 14 digs as St. Olaf broke overcame an 18-17 deficit in the fourth set, scoring the set's final eight points, to win the match.

Martin Luther was paced by Rebecca Engelbrecht's 16 kills and nine from Kayla Schoeneck.

St. Olaf def. Waldorf 3-2
The Oles (4-0) raced to a 6-1 lead in the decisive fifth set and cruised to a 15-5 victory. The Oles won the opening two before Waldorf picked up 25-23 and 25-18 wins in the third and fourth.

Heissel had 22 kills and first year Taylor Gorder 15 for the Oles. Aby Emiru had 12 to lead Waldorf.

St. Olaf will play Martin Luther College to open a tournament at Luther College on Friday.

Heissel and Bork were named to the event's all-tournament team.
