NORTHFIELD, Minn. - A single goal was all the offense the College of Saint Benedict needed on Saturday afternoon, as the Blazers held on to a 1-0 victory over St. Olaf at Rolf Mellby field in MIAC soccer action.

Saint Benedict scored the game's only goal at 23:58 when Peggy Reiner fed Colleen Bouchard at the goal mouth, who beat Ole netminder Nora Forbes for her third goal of the season.

St. Olaf struggled to find scoring chances throughout the game, as the stifling Blazer defense held the Oles to three shots. Saint Benedict goalkeeper Heather Kaluzniak earned the shutout.

Nora Forbes continued her solid play in the Ole net despite the loss, turning aside six of seven shots. The senior has now stopped 27 of 30 shots over her last three games.

The Blazers (6-0-1, 2-0 MIAC) remain unbeaten in 2013 as they sit on top of the conference standings in the early going. The Oles' loss drop them to 2-4-1 (1-1 MIAC).

Looking forward the Oles will host the University of Wisconsin - River Falls on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Rolf Mellby Field.
