Olson is national athlete of the week

NEW ORLEANS - St. Olaf first year Noelle Olson was named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Athlete of the Week on Monday after posting a historic time in her first collegiate 6k on Saturday.
Olson won the St. Olaf Invitational with a time of 21:34.4, as she set a record in the existing course design and a meet record as well.
The 251-runner field included three ranked teams from Division III including the host Oles and 16th-ranked Minnesota-Duluth of Division II. Olson's mark is the third-best 6K time in St. Olaf history. In her first two races she had a school-record 4K (14:26) and a 5K (17:38) ranked second all-time in program history.
