Ole women get victory over Concordia-Moorhead in OT
September 28, 2013
MOORHEAD, Minn. - Overtime is nothing new for the St. Olaf women's soccer team and it used that experience in the extra period to help notch the team's third overtime victory of the season on Saturday afternoon in Moorhead.
Emma Crumley scored the game-winning goal in the 97th minute off an assist from Kajsa Brindley to help St. Olaf move to 2-1 in conference play.
"It was awesome," Crumley said. "Our forwards worked hard to force the corner kick and the delivery by Kajsa was perfect. It was a team effort all in all."
Amanda Leone netted the game's first goal by scoring an unassisted goal in the 13th minute.
Nora Forbes returned to action for the Oles after missing Wednesday's game against UW-River Falls and posted nine saves in the 2-1 victory.
St. Olaf (2-1 MIAC, 4-4-1) will return home on Wednesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. conference game against Hamline.
