ST. PETER, Minn. - Gustavus Adolphus College rallied from an early deficit to defeat visiting St. Olaf 45-19 in a MIAC football game on Saturday afternoon at Hollingsworth Stadium.

Jeffrey Dubose rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns for Gustavus (2-1, 1-1). The Gustie victory is the first over St. Olaf since 2002, snapping the Oles' 10-game winning streak in the series.

St. Olaf quarterback Nate Penz had touchdown passes on consecutive possessions -- to Joel Reinhardt and Jake Schmiesing -- in the first quarter to give the Oles a 13-7 lead, but the Gusties scored on their next five possessions and never turned back.

Reinhart had three receptions for 71 yards and Stephen Asp four for 75 yards. Penz was 14-of-27 with the two scores, but was intercepted four times.

The Oles had an interception from Derek Henle in Gustavus territory to set up the 9-yard TD strike from Penz to Schmiesing.

Mitch Hendricks was 29-for-38 for 301 yards and two touchdowns for Gustavus. Linebacker Zach Dilger had two interceptions, a tackle for a loss and four tackles for the Gusties.

St. Olaf (1-3, 0-2 MIAC) hosts Saint John's University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
