Another win for Wintheiser, No. 10 Oles finish second at Blugold

COLFAX, Wis. - Grant Wintheiser won the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational on Friday, as the 10th-ranked St. Olaf men's cross country team was second of 26 teams in the event.

Wintheiser (24:48.64) held off UW-Stout's Jessop Keene's (24.49.61) by just under a second to claim his fourth career victory and first of 2013.

The Oles' Calvin Lehn (25:08.62) was sixth among collegiates in the 453-runner field and Brian Saksa (25:13) eighth.

No. 2 UW-La Crosse won the event, as the Eagles had all five scoring runners in the top 20.

St. Olaf, the top-ranked team in the Central Region, will take next weekend off. The Oles compete next at the Eagles' Jim Drews Invite on Oct. 19.
