Auggies use big second half to top Oles, 41-17

MINNEAPOLIS - Ayrton Scott threw for 384 yards and five touchdowns as Augsburg rallied with 20 unanswered second half points in a 41-17 MIAC football win over the visiting Oles on Saturday afternoon.

St. Olaf (1-6, 0-5 MIAC) trailed 14-0 but scored 17 points in the second quarter to get within four, at 21-17 at halftime. Nate Penz threw a pair of touchdowns in the quarter, one to Stephen Asp and another to Jake Schmiesing.

Penz finished the day 25-for-33 for the two scores, with an interception. Schmiesing had nine catches for 70 yards and Asp for 58 yards. Connor McCormick was the Oles' leading rusher, carrying 16 times for 71 yards.

St. Olaf hosts Carleton College next Saturday at 1 p.m.
