MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's soccer team was dealt a 3-1 defeat on Wednesday evening in a MIAC match against Augsburg College.

St. Olaf and Augsburg were even with five shots on goal apiece, but it was the Auggies who were able to convert those shots into goals with Carter Denison, Abi Rodstein and Olivia Muyres all scoring for Augsburg. Muyres' goal put her season total at 19, good for the top spot in the MIAC in goals scored. Macalester's Georgia Cloepfil is next on that list with 14.

Kajsa Brindley scored the Ole's lone goal in the 57th minute when she found a pass from Chelsea Marsh and found the empty net. The goal was Brindley's ninth of the season.

St. Olaf is now tied with Augsburg for fourth place in the MIAC and will likely need a win against Carleton this Saturday to secure a playoff berth. Saturday's game will take place on Carleton's campus and will begin at 1 p.m.
