Ole men beat Knights in regular-season finale

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Nick Lund and Kevin Skrip scored second half goals as St. Olaf picked up a 2-0 MIAC men's soccer win over Carleton in the regular season finale for each school on Saturday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.

With the win, St. Olaf (14-3-1, 7-2-1 MIAC) clinched the No. 2 seed in next week's MIAC playoffs. The Oles will host Carleton on Wednesday afternoon.

Lund scored on a feed from Claudio Barboza 2:19 into the second frame. With the Oles protecting the lead, Kevin Skrip escaped the Carleton defense and got his 10th goal of the year on a pass from Jovan Carter.

St. Olaf held a 6-4 advantage on corner kicks while shots were dead even a 9-9.
