Women's hockey edged by Pointers in overtime

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - UW-Stevens Point completed a two-game series sweep of the St. Olaf women's hockey team with a 3-2 overtime victory over the visiting Oles on Saturday afternoon at Ice Hawks Arena.

Margot Fleming scored each of the Oles' goals, including a game-tying score with 53 seconds left in regulation. Trailing 2-0, she got the Oles on the board with score at 18:14 of the second period.

Each of the scores were on the power play as the Oles went 2-for-9 with an extra advantage. UW-Stevens Point was 1-of-4.

The Pointers had goals from Shauna Bollinger, Hannah Smith and Allie Tanzer. Tanzer's game-winner came 1:07 into the extra session.

St. Olaf is idle until a Nov. 15 game at Saint Ben's.
