Barboza, Johnson, Skrip, Lund land on MIAC's all-conference team

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's soccer team had four on the MIAC all-conference team, the league announced on Thursday.

Midfielders Claudio Barboza and Mackenzie Lund, defender Stephen Johnson and forward Kevin Skrip were named to the team after helping St. Olaf to a 14-win (14-4-1) campaign.

Johnson, a senior, had two goals and an assist from his back position. He started all 19 games and finished his career with eight goals and five assists. He anchored a defensive unit that allowed 13 goals in the Oles' 19 games.

Lund was the Oles' other senior honored. He had seven goals and six assists, including four and three in league games. He had three game-winners and his 20 points were second-best on the team.

Skrip, a sophomore from Naperville, Ill., led the Oles in goals (10), points (25), shots (35) and shared the team lead in game-winners with Lund. He had four goals and two assists in MIAC games.

Barboza had a goal and two assists from his center mid spot. The sophomore from Maracaibo, Venezuela had a goal and an assist in league play.

St. Olaf first year goalkeeper Ben Braman was named All-MIAC honorable mention after posting a 0.70 goals against average while going 14-4-1.
