Cobbers claim 83-57 win over Ole women

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Concordia College-Moorhead defeated St. Olaf 83-57 victory on Tuesday night at Skoglund Center in a MIAC women's basketball game.

Alley Fisher had a game-high 20 points for the Cobbers. Fisher had six three-pointers, which along with Greta Walsh's 16 points, helped power Concordia's offense which finished with a 40.3 field goal percentage.

A 14-1 run in the middle of the first half helped open up a 31-11 lead for the Cobbers. Concordia led 43-24 at halftime.

St. Olaf's offense was never able to get its footing, shooting 16-for-56 (28.6%) on the night from the field.

Sophomore Kim Cerjan's 10 points led the Oles while senior Elise Raney had nine points and seven rebounds.

Both teams entered Tuesday's contest near the top of the MIAC standings, each with four league wins. St. Olaf falls to 4-2 in MIAC play (6-3 overall), while Concordia improves to 5-2 (7-3 overall).

The Oles finish off their three-game stretch at Skoglund Center when they take on the league-leading Tommies from the University of St. Thomas on Wednesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
