Last second shot sinks Ole men

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Zach Riedeman's bucket in the final seconds lifted No. 11 St. Thomas past St. Olaf 63-62 in a MIAC men's basketball game on Wednesday night at Schoenecker Arena.

Erik Tengwall had 16 points and Riedeman 14 for the Tommies (8-2, 5-0 MIAC).

St. Olaf was led by Sterling Nielsen's game-best 18 points and 13 from Connor Gunderson. Nielsen nailed two free throws with 18 seconds left to give the Oles a 61-60 lead. The Tommies led 60-55 with 1:47 left before buckets by Nielsen and Gunderson in a 13-second span closed the gap to one.

The Oles (6-4, 4-2 MIAC) led 32-29 at the half.
