Women's basketball gets big lead, beats Carleton 65-45

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Elise Raney had 14 points as St. Olaf built a 22-point halftime lead and defeated host Carleton 65-45 in a MIAC women's basketball game on Wednesday night at West Gymnasium.

St. Olaf shot a season-best 57.4 percent from the floor, including a 7-for-9 effort from Raney. Emily Wahlberg added 10 points for the Oles (10-5, 8-4 MIAC) who led by as many as 35 in the second half.

The win was the fourth straight for St. Olaf.

Michele Arima had 12 points and Skylar Tsutsui 11 poitns for Carleton (4-11, 2-10 MIAC).

Afton Wolter went 3-for-5 from 3-point range for the Oles, who was 5-of-13 in the game.

St. Olaf hosts Augsburg College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
