Ole men escape with 52-47 win at Carleton

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Connor Gunderson had a team-best 14 points as St. Olaf defeated Carleton 52-47 in a MIAC men's basketball game at West Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

Taylor Hansen had 17 points to lead Carleton (7-9, 5-6 MIAC).

St. Olaf used an 8-0 run in the second half to turn a 37-34 deficit to a 42-37 lead with 9:19 left. Back-to-back buckets by Gunderson inside the final 2:30 made the St. Olaf lead six.

Nathan Kuck added an important seven points, including a pair of three's, off the bench for the Oles.

St. Olaf (12-4, 9-2 MIAC) hosts Augsburg on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
