Women's hockey drops opener to Bethel

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Kalie Johnson had a goal and two assists as Bethel University topped St. Olaf 4-2 in a MIAC women's hockey game on Friday night at Northfield Ice Arena.

St. Olaf had goals from Katie Moeller and Drue Engleman in the loss.

The Royals' Karly Vohden broke a 2-2 tie with her power play goal at 14:02 of the second period on assists by Johnson and Megan Niblock. BU's Renee Johnson added an insurance goal at 14:35 of the third period.

Erika Allen made 35 saves in the win for Bethel and Cassie Alexander 21 for St. Olaf.
