Ole men pull away to beat Auggies

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Connor Gunderson had 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists as St. Olaf pulled away to beat Augsburg College 82-63 in a MIAC men's basketball game on Saturday at Skoglund Center.

Gunderson went 12-of-13 from the field as St. Olaf (13-4, 10-2 MIAC) compiled 27 assists against a mere four turnovers in the victory, its sixth straight.

The Ole win offset a 29-point outing from Augsburg's Andy Seidlitz. Noah Veach added 18 points.

St. Olaf led 40-25 at the half. Augsburg was within 10 with 13:33 left, but the Oles scored six straight on three's by Justin Pahl and Gunderson minutes later to take a 64-47 lead with 8:50 left.

Pahl finished with 16 points while Sterling Nielsen had 12 with seven assists.
