NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's hockey team (7-9-3, 5-3-2 MIAC) rallied from a 3-0 first period deficit to defeat Bethel University 4-3 on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.

Bethel raced to a 3-0 lead, but the Oles came out in the second period with renewed energy and outshot the Royals 25-6. Two goals by Dan Cecka and one by Marc Richards evened the score at three heading into the third period.

After several quality chances from the Oles, the game winner was scored by senior Dylan Porter, his first of the season, with 44 seconds to play in the game. Junior goaltender Steve Papicak collected his sixth win of the season, making 19 saves. The Oles outshot the Royals 47-22.

The win is the fourth in a row for the Oles and their second consecutive MIAC weekend sweep. St. Olaf returns to action Friday, January 31 at home against Saint Mary's University at 7:30 p.m.
