Cobbers race past Ole women in second half

MOORHEAD, Minn. - Concordia-Moorhead used a 22-0 second half run as the host Cobbers held off St. Olaf 58-49 in a MIAC women's basketball game on Wednesday night at Memorial Auditorium.

Kim Cerjan had 19 points to lead St. Olaf (12-8, 10-7 MIAC), which held a 33-20 lead early in the second half. The Oles then went cold, going scoreless for over nine minutes as the Cobbers turned a 13-point deficit to a nine-point lead.

Ally Fisher had 13 points and Emma Peterson 12 for the Cobbers (16-4, 14-3 MIAC).

Lauren Gutierrez added nine points for the Oles and Kelsey Walloch 10 off the bench for the Concorida, which outrebounded St. Olaf 44-34.

St. Olaf hosts Saint Benedict on Saturday at 3 p.m.
