Women's basketball beats Blazers 68-62

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Kim Cerjan had 24 points and Elise Raney 14 as St. Olaf held off Saint Ben's 68-62 in a MIAC women's basketball game on Saturday at Skoglund Center.

St. Olaf (13-8, 11-7 MIAC) held a 16-point lead early in the second half and withstood a rally from the visiting Blazers (10-11, 7-10 MIAC), who tied the game twice in the final nine minutes.

CSB had three players in double figures, led by Mattie Lueck's 22. Brianna Barret added 15 and Tish Alexander 15. Morgan Dale pulled down 14 rebounds in the loss.

Lauren Gutierrez added nine points, five steals and three assists in the win for St. Olaf, which added distance between itself and Saint Ben's for one the league's six playoff spots. The Oles are alone in fifth place and three and a half games ahead of seventh place Saint Ben's (7-10) and Augsburg (7-10).
