MIDWAY, Utah - St. Olaf senior Paige Schember finished 15th in the 5K classic race at the NCAA Skiing Championships on Thursday afternoon at Soldier Hollow.

Schember finished in 14:43.2. Vermont's Anja Grubber won the race as one of two skiers to break the 14-minute mark.

Schember qualified for the NCAA Championships with a fourth place showing at the Central Region Championships. She was fifth in the region in the 5K and fourth in the 10K.

The 16-point performance puts St. Olaf, with Schember as its only qualifier, in 15th place in the team standings which combine men's and women's nordic and alpine.

The women's nordic 10K will take place on Saturday.
