Cecka, Lindblad earn All-MIAC honors

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf senior Dan Cecka and sophomore Peter Lindblad were named All-MIAC by the league's men's hockey coaches on Thursday after helping St. Olaf to a third place finish.

Cecka and Lindblad were first time honorees for the Oles, who advanced to the MIAC Playoff semifinal.

Cecka led the team in goals (18), points (31) and was second in assists (13). He was first in points (19) and second in the MIAC in goals in league play (10) and had a conference-best four power play goals.

Lindblad also had 10 goals in MIAC play while his 15 points were eighth best.

St. Olaf had two first years named All-MIAC honorable mention and to the league's all-rookie team, Jonas Fredericksson and Steven Sherman. Fredericksson had 10 assists and a goal from his right defense position. Sherman was third on the team in points (18) with a four-goal, 14-assists season.
