LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - The St. Olaf men's alpine ski team was 10th at the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association Championships and combined with the Oles' Nordic team to win the association's President's Cup.
St. Olaf was sixth of 19 schools in the slalom. Matthew Hoffman was 23rd and Jack Post 25th to lead the Oles.
St. Olaf was 15th in the giant slalom. Haakon Schoenheyder was third in the event, with a combined time of 2:04.13. Grady Gores was the team's next best, finishing 25th.
There were four other schools -- Clarkson, Cornell, WPI and UMF -- that had their alpine and nordic teams compete and were therefore eligible for the President's Cup.
