Women's alpine team is ninth at USCSA Championships, wins President's Cup

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - The St. Olaf women's alpine ski team finished ninth at the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Championships and combined with the Nordic team to win the association's President's Cup.

St. Olaf was third in the slalom and 15th in the giant slalom in the event. The Oles outlasted three other schools -- Cornell, Clarkson and WPI -- for the President's Cup, which combines the alpine and Nordic events.

In the slalom, St. Olaf had two individuals inside the top 10. Katie Ulvestad finished seventh (1:42.99) while McKenna McNabb (1:44.40) was ninth. Megan Daelski was close behind in 16th in a combined 1:45.94.

In the giant slalom, McNabb was 12th (2:10.70) while Madison McLaughlin was 24th in a combined time of 2:15.32.
