Ole men stay in top 10 at NCAA's

INDIANAPOLIS - The St. Olaf men's swimming and diving team is 10th at the NCAA Division III Championships after Thursday, the second day of competition at the IU Natatorium.

Tanner Roe won the consolation final of the 200 free. His 1:39.15 was .44 seconds faster than his time from the prelims in the morning.

Roe anchored the Oles' 400 medley relay squad that finished seventh later in the night. Michael Gratz, Colby Kubat and Billy Brebrick combined in the event for a time of 3:18.39.

St. Olaf was 15th in the 200 free relay to open the night. Roe, Brebrick, Alex Rudstrom and Gratz finished in 1:22.92.

The event continues tomorrow with preliminary swims in the morning and championship and consolation heats in the evening.
