Volleyball sweeps Northland in first round at Auggie Invite

Danica Finseth (Sr., Chatfield, Minn.) had 11 kills, 12 digs, four service aces and four set assists as St. Olaf rolled to a 30-14, 30-24 and 30-22 win over Northland in the first round of the Augsburg Invitational in Minneapolis Friday.

Andrea Otteman (Jr., Ames, Iowa) added 13 kills and hit .421 in the win for the Oles (4-1 overall, 0-0 MIAC).

With the victory, St. Olaf moved to three games over .500 for the first time since Sept. 6, 2003.

Audrey Volstad (Jr., Hanley Falls, Minn./YME) had 34 set assists and ten digs and Christine Brook (Fy, Cherry Creek, Colo./Centennial) had ten kills.

St. Olaf plays Augsburg at 6 p.m. in the second round at 6 p.m.
