Baseball sweeps University of Chicago

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Olaf won each end of a baseball doubleheader over the University of Chicago on Tuesday at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex.

Game One: St. Olaf 4, Chicago 3
Sam Maus and Chris Paradise had two hits each as St. Olaf held off a seventh-inning Maroon rally to take the opener 4-3.

St. Olaf led 4-1 into the bottom of the seventh before Chicago strung together three hits and took advantage of an error to plate two. Joey Voss worked the seventh and struck out the final batter to earn the save.

Game Two: St. Olaf 8, Chicago 4
Jack Schechinger went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Oles led 6-0 and completed the sweep.

Paradise and Jake Mathison added two hits each while John Connell worked four innings to get the win. Connell scattered four hits and struck out four while walking none in the win.

Chicago (0-6) was led by Brett Huff's 2-for-3 effort at the plate.
