Softball splits with Auggies

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf won a 3-1 decision in game one before falling 7-4 in game two of a MIAC softball doubleheader with Augsburg College on Saturday afternoon at Mabel Shirley Field.

Game One: St. Olaf 3, Augsburg 1
Alex Lebens was 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs as St. Olaf defeated Augsburg 3-1 in the opener. Danielle Collins earned the win, going all seven innings, allowing a run on nine hits and no walks.

Becca Walz and Brooke Paradise added two hits apiece for the Oles.

Lauren Torborg and Brenna Nakonechny were each 2-for-3 in the loss for the Auggies.

Game Two: Augsburg 7, St. Olaf 4
Bekka Kelly was 3-for-4 with two runs and two batted in as the Auggies (4-24, 1-9 MIAC) scored four times in the top of the seventh to earn a split. Lauren Torborg hit a three-run homer to cap the rally.

Becca Walz and Brooke Paradise had two hits each for the Oles. Natalie Mironov worked the first six innings for the Oles in a no-decision.
