NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Erin Hynes and Lizzie Carlson maintained their perfect records in singles to help the St. Olaf women's tennis team defeat Saint Mary's University 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Carlson Courts.

Playing in their first outdoor match of the spring season, the Oles wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard by posting 8-5 and 8-1 victories at first and third doubles respectively. Bailey Kent and Kristi Kroker needed a bit more time to seal the victory at the second doubles position, but came from behind to defeat the Cardinals' Lindsey Reinisch and Megan Vandenberg 9-8 (7-2).

In singles, St. Olaf was just as dominant as Lisa Hall, Kroker, Maya MacGibbon, Hynes, Carlson and Kent all picked up straight set victories.

On Monday, the Oles will travel across town to take on MIAC-leading Carleton who will bring to the match a 7-0 record in conference play. The match will begin at 3:45 p.m.
