Men's tennis reaches MIAC title match with semifinal win over Carleton

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The fourth-seeded St. Olaf men's tennis team on Friday defeated the second seed, Carleton College, 5-2 to reach Sunday's MIAC title match.

The Oles will play at No. 1 Gustavus in the 1 p.m. title match.

St. Olaf won the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches and the top two singles flights on the way to the victory. Stephen Nolan at No. 1 defeated Erik Johnson 6-1 and 6-3 while Joey Kronzer topped Andrew Hwang 7-6 and 6-2.

The Oles sealed the win over the 18th-ranked Knights with Make Schroeder's 6-4, 6-3 win over Ezra Frankel in the sixth singles flight.
