Larson wins high jump on day one of MIAC Championships

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Dani Larson won the high jump as the St. Olaf Women's Track and Field team competed on day one of the MIAC Outdoor Championships at Manitou Field.

Larson cleared a height of 5'5.25"/1.66m to win the event for the second consecutive year. Teammate Elise Raney was fifth in the event, clearing 1.55m.

Noelle Olson placed second in the 10K behind Erin Stats of St. Thomas. Olson's finishing time was 37:27.40, almost a full minute faster than the last time she competed.

In prelims of the 400m dash, seniors Tara Reyelts and Shaina Rud both qualified for the finals on day two. Reyelts crossed the line at 59.97 while Rud finished in 61.27.

The Oles had three women qualify for the 1500m finals: Moriah Novacinski (4:49.89), Megan Holmes (4:55.22), and Amanda Leone (4:58.51).

The MIAC Outdoor Championships continues tomorrow at St. Olaf College. Field events begin at noon and running events at 1p.m.
