Hamline outlasts volleyball

Hamline University claimed a five-game, 30-25, 22-30, 32-34, 30-21 and 15-12 volleyball win over St. Olaf in St. Paul Wednesday night.

Andrea Otteman (Jr., Ames, Iowa) led St. Olaf with 23 kills, 16 digs and hit .319 in the loss.

The Pipers' Dana Luiken had 23 kills, hitting .391.

Audrey Volstad (Jr., Hanley Falls, Minn./YME) added 62 set assists and 16 digs in a losing effort.

St. Olaf battled from down 28-23 in game three to earn a 34-32 win, but Hamline jumped to a 23-11 lead in game four and forced game five.

St. Olaf led 11-10 in the deciding game, but Luiken had kills on two of the final four points to seal the win.

St. Olaf hosts the University of St. Thomas Friday at 7 p.m.
