UST over Ole volleyball 3-1

The 24th-ranked University of St. Thomas volleyball team defeated St. Olaf 30-25, 26-30, 30-22 and 30-27 at Skoglund Center in Northfield Friday night.

Erika Wetzel (Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park) had 24 kills, hitting .452, to lead the Tommies.

Andrea Otteman (Jr., Ames, Iowa) had 17 kills for the Oles.

St. Olaf hit .325 in their game two win, but only .029 and .143 in the final two games.

St. Thomas has now won seven straight MIAC road contests.

The Oles (1-2 MIAC, 6-5 overall) host Bethel University at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
